BU Webpage Redesign

A project to create a new webpage for the Graphic and User-Experience Design program

Four Person Team

Three Month Project

Tools Used

The problem/task

1

Redesign the webpage for the Graphic and User-Experience Design program.

2

Create a usable and informational page that is satisfying and useful for a wide range of users. Including new and existing students, parents, and alumni.

3

Make the site visually delightful and new while following the Bradley University brand identity.

The team's process

We used a Scrum framework for weekly sprints.

The program we used to track tasks was Freedcamp (similar to Trello or Jira).

Work was split evenly between the four of us and assigned accordingly.

We had weekly deadlines to deliver our deliverables throughout the project.

We presented to the client after a few milestones.

Our Deliverables

For the project, we created

  • Empathy maps
  • User surveys
  • User flows
  • Wireframes
  • Style guides
  • First iteration design
  • Client reviewed design

What I created

Style guide

I created our team’s style guide. It was based on the pre-existing style guide, but I changed some colors, chose new fonts, and created some assets the team could use for the site.

Pieces of the webpage

On the final webpage design, I created the header, footer, features & benefits, about the program, student quote, and an image carousel.
